BAY / RIVER
Out in front of Clarks Landing seems to be one of the hot spots recently.
We have had fluke 6.5# / 8.8# / 4.7# and a few more in the 2-3# range
weighed in from that area of the river. The key here has been the warmer
water that is getting them going.
There are bluefish running in and out with the tides also. Some bass being
caught at night in these same areas too.
SURF
There are plenty of fish out there right now! Bass and blues are providing
steady action. Clams and fresh bunker are the two best baits to use. There
have been alot of blitzes on the beaches from Spring Lake down to IBSP.
Bring the heavy rods, the blues are in the 8 - 15 lb range and the bass
are as big as 45 lbs daily.
Ray Nebus checked in with a few bass this week as heavy as 45 lbs. There
are alot of bunker showing now with some big bass on them! Get out and
fish!!
OCEAN
The bunker have been down deep the last couple of days with very few guys
finding the top water action. We have a steady catch of bass using alll
types of fishing. Trolling, chunking, snagging bunker and throwing lures.
Nice fish coming in. Biggest fish to hit the scales this week so far was
45lbs.
The fluking is picking up nicely the last few days! Water is warming up
and some nice fish are finally being caught!
The seabass fishing is red hot right now!!!!! Drop down a rig and double
or triple headers are an easy catch. Sea Girt Reef, Carlson Reef, and
just about any rough bottom you can find will fill your coolers with limit
catches. Clams, squid and spearing are working best!!!
